Bummer: Sitting on the Trunk of a Car that's About to Leave is a Very Bad Idea [Video]
Common sense says that you shouldn't lie down and get cozy on a vehicle's trunk when the driver is inside and the engine is running, but some people just need to learn their lesson the hard way.
We can't say for sure if the driver saw the young lady flashing her legs on the Lada's trunk or not, but fact is that he sped off with the laws of physics coming into play from then on.
After her hard encounter with the road, we believe this woman will think twice before she throws herself on a trunk again…
.Dodge Bids Farewell to Caliber Crossover and Nitro SUV
The end of 2011 brings about the death of two much-criticized Dodge models, the Caliber crossover and the Nitro SUV, both of which were conceived and developed during the time Mercedes-Benz's parent company Daimler reigned over the Chrysler Group.
The last examples of the Caliber and Nitro models rolled off Chrysler's Belvidere, Illinois and Toledo North assembly plants respectively this month.
Introduced in 2006, the Caliber was designed to replace the Neon in the same fashion that Nissan tried to win the European C-segment (think VW Golf) with the Qashqai crossover, but without the same success.
.TRD Spices up New Toyota Aqua / Prius C Hybrid with Sport Package in Japan
Toyota is losing no time in pushing out its aftermarket proposals for the all-new Aqua hybrid that will be marketed as the Prius C in markets outside of Japan and which will make its North American debut at the forthcoming Detroit Motor Show in January.
On the same day that the regular Aqua went on sale in its home market, Toyota's TRD racing and performance division announced a slew of tuning upgrades for the sub-compact hatchback.

What is a muscle car?
A muscle car is a term used to refer to a variety of high performance automobiles. The term principally refers to American, Australian and to a lesser extent South African models. It generally describes a 2-door rear wheel drive mid-size car with a large, powerful V8 engine, and at an affordable price. Although opinions vary, it is generally accepted that classic muscle cars were produced in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Muscle cars were built for street use and in some cases racing. They are distinct from sports cars and also from GTs, which are two-seat or 2+2 cars intended for high-speed touring/road racing. These are not generally considered muscle cars owing to their small size, relatively high cost and specialty nature.
The two-seater AMC AMX may or may not be an exception: one source queries whether it qualifies as a true muscle car or pony car, but also lists it among vehicles that fit the general interpretation of both categories. AMC was "never shy" about describing the car as "a genuine sports car" as it was relatively inexpensive.

Cool 11m Scrappage Car - Cool Cars
It was created by a reputable British sculptor, a commission for a car maker in the United Kingdom. Nissan was seeking to make a statement about the effectiveness of the UK Government's Scrappage Scheme. The deal saw generous incentives offered to new car buyers who were willing to trade in their eight-to-10-year-old vehicle to be scrapped. It is credited with keeping car sales ticking along through the worst of the recession last year.
Downing Street is pulling the plug on the car scrappage scheme in the UK, but Nissan is among manufacturers now offering their own trade-in system, which they say will put more people in cars meeting the strict Euro 5 emissions standards. In Nissan's case, that's a $5000 minimum trade-in for any vehicle over seven years of age traded on any new British built Nissan. Effective until the end of June, the deal covers the Micra, Note, Qashqai and Qashqai-Plus.

"A Car Story" - The Rally Fighter Takes Flight!
The Rally Fighter is a premium, authentic off-of-road experience, custom designed and built for the deserts of the American Southwest. It was designed by community member Sangho Kim while many Local Motors' members participated in the open development process. Together with the company they helped collaborate on body design details, side vent creation, interior and even accessory design.
Undiluted design, power and efficiency is the result. The Rally Fighter is powered by a 3.0 liter twin-turbo clean diesel sporting 265 ponies and a striking 425 pound-feet of torque at only 1750rpm that are directed to the rear wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission. It is built to suit several different efficient engines, and so far the customers prefer clean diesel. The Rally Fighter is lightweight at only 3,200 pounds which allows for exceptional performance and efficiency.
Build process and end product are so efficient the car is debuting in SEMA sponsored 'Making Green Cool Zone'. At 30-36mpg, the Rally Fighter is competing for most efficient in its desert off-road class. In addition, Local Motors utilizes a sustainable build methodology and builds cars 'Just-In-Time'. This process creates little or no waste, and allows customers to actually participate in the build process of their own Rally Fighter. Local Motors builds cars with customers in regional Micro-Factories which double as service stations. The first Micro-Factory is in Wareham, Massachusetts, and the second will be built in Phoenix, Arizona in 2010. Local Motors plans for 50 Micro-Factories around the country.
This enthusiast experience continues as Local Motors allows customers to host 'Custom Car Skins' Competitions on local-motors.com. Local Motors designers compete to create custom graphics to for Rally Fighter owners based on desired specifications- every outcome is unique. The graphics are applied with vinyl, not paint, which is lightweight, customizable, and recyclable.
